Haunted College - A Horror Story for Adults

Maria had always been fascinated by horror stories, but she never thought she would end up living in one. She had just started her freshman year at college, and her dorm was in the oldest building on campus, rumored to be haunted.

At first, Maria didn't believe the stories. She laughed them off, thinking they were just pranks played by the upperclassmen. But as time passed, strange things started to happen. Doors would creak open and shut on their own, and Maria would hear whispers in the middle of the night. She would wake up to find her belongings moved or even missing altogether.

The other students in the dorm didn't seem to be bothered by the strange occurrences. They brushed them off, saying it was just the old building settling. But Maria couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong.

One night, as she was studying in her room, Maria heard a loud bang coming from the hallway. She cautiously opened her door and saw that all the doors on the floor were wide open. She could hear a faint, eerie laughter coming from one of the rooms.

Maria slowly made her way down the hall, heart pounding in her chest. She peeked into the room where the laughter was coming from, and what she saw chilled her to the bone. A shadowy figure was standing in the corner, its eyes glowing red in the dark.

Maria tried to scream, but no sound came out. The figure started moving towards her, its menacing grin growing wider by the second. Maria turned and ran as fast as she could back to her room, slamming the door behind her and locking it tight.

But the figure was still there, knocking on her door and whispering her name. Maria could feel its cold breath on the back of her neck, and she knew that it was only a matter of time before the door would give way.

Terrified and alone, Maria knew that she had to find a way to escape the haunted college. She packed her bags and left that very night, never looking back.

Years later, as a successful businesswoman, Maria still shuddered at the thought of the haunted college. She never forgot the terror she felt that night, and she knew that she would never be able to go back. The memories of the shadowy figure and the ghostly whispers would haunt her for the rest of her life.
